Support Activities

Autumn 2008 Development Groups

The Qualification Reform Support Programme (QRSP) will continue to assist providers in developing their workforce to respond to the opportunities and meet the challenges that the qualification reform affords. From this autumn, the programme will be increasing its engagement with providers through development groups that will further explore the impact of the QCF.

The development groups will support providers participating in the QCF tests and trials or about to deliver QCF qualifications. This will be an opportunity to collaboratively explore and address some of the issues around the introduction of the QCF and identify good practice. The experience shared during the development activities may be incorporated into guidance for other providers as they prepare to deliver qualifications within the QCF.

Providers who are involved in the development groups will each be expected to take part in up to four meetings between now and the end of March 2009.

If you would like your organisation to participate in this project you can download and complete an application form and email back to qrsp@lsneducation.org.uk by
15 November 2008.

Customised in-house events for groups of providers or provider networks

You may not have been able to attend the recent national events that QRSP have been running or you may have attended one and thought it would be useful for your provider network to receive something similar. We recognise that it can often be difficult to attend an external event so we have remedied this by offering the opportunity for the QRSP Team to deliver this at no charge, 'in-house'. Provider networks or groups of providers can request 'in-house' customised events, tailored to meet their needs. We will be delivering 27 events across the regions until the end of March 2009. The QRSP customised in-house event request form will give you more information and allow you to apply for this supprt activity.
